When you give us your email such as when you subscribed to our Promotional Newsletter, which includes promotional information of our services and events or you book an appointment for one of our services or you are a client of Mercy Martinez we retained your email in our secured database until you request to unsubscribe from either the newsletter and/or our entire database. Our database is updated yearly. Each year you will receive an email giving you the choice to unsubscribe and/or delete your information from our database additionally to our regular notice and choice of unsubscribing to our notifications.  If you are a client of Mercy Martinez you data is retained for 6 years as a matter to compile with our legal obligations.

Our website is scanned every month to ensure all data is secured and to update on any additional cookie added to our site. Any changes are updated monthly in our Privacy Policy.

Web Hosting and How we store your Data 

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Third Party

Third Party Payment Processors: Payments processed via Custom Payment Gateways by third parties like PayPal and Stripe are subject to the terms of use and privacy policies of those payment gateways and are not accessible or controlled by Vero Infinitus, LLC.

We don't support Do Not Track as our web hosting service doesn't support such process and we don't use such tracking mechanism in our delivery of our services.

Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. California Civil Code Section 1798.83 Compliance

Online Privacy Protection Act of 2003 - Online Privacy Protection Act of 2003 - California Business and Professions Code sections 22575-22579

This law requires operators of commercial web sites or online services that collect personal information on California consumers through a web site to conspicuously post a privacy policy on the site and to comply with its policy. The privacy policy must, among other things, identify the categories of personally identifiable information collected about site visitors and the categories of third parties with whom the operator may share the information. The privacy policy must also provide information on the operator’s online tracking practices. What’s the EU GDPR?

The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new comprehensive data privacy law that strengthens the protection of personal data for European Union users.  In this instance, personal data is any information relating to a person. Examples of personal data include names, emails, billing information, passwords, and IP addresses. 

 

To summarize, the GDPR provides guidelines pertaining to the rights of EU citizens over their personal data including, accessing, correcting, deleting, and restricting the processing of their data. 

 

The GDPR takes effect on May 25th, 2018 and requires that companies with access to personal data of European Union residents take steps to comply with the new law by this date.
